What causes car mould?
* Wet weather: In rainy conditions, water can seep through small gaps or leak through your car's door and window seals. Car mats can also absorb the moisture from wet shoes. This can lead to wet spots, which provide a perfect breeding ground for mould.
* High humidity: Mould thrives in damp environments. When hot air inside your car comes into contact with cold surfaces, this causes water to form, creating damp patches. This can cause trouble if your car isn't well-ventilated. Mould spores in the air attach to these damp patches.
* Excess moisture: Mould will grow wherever there's moisture, and when excess moisture in your car can't get dry, it creates the perfect conditions for mould to develop.
